Christopher Nettey’s strike moves Kotoko to 3rd position

Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s wing back, Christopher Nettey’s strike was enough to secure the porcupine warriors the maximum  points at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium against Ebusua Dwarfs.

Kotoko started the match on the front pedal and made incursions right from the blast of the referees whistle.

Kotoko’s dominance did not yield any goal in the first half as both teams failed to break the deadlock.

Christopher Nettey move upfront after Samuel Frimpong came to replace speedster Emmanuel Gyamfi on the 62nd minute.

On the 71st minute, Christopher Nettey latched on to Patrick Asmah’s cross to power a low header into the net from close range to give the visitor’s the lead.

Kotoko was able to hold on their slim lead secure the maximum 3 points. The win see Asante Kotoko move to the 3rd position with 16 points same as Ashanti Gold and a point below league leaders Karela United on 17 points.
