Mathew Anim Cudjoe is a special talent, that’s for sure, but he has set himself the high target of emulating Barcelona ace, Lionel Messi.
Born in Prestea, the 16-year-old wing forward is fast making his name in his debut Premier League campaign this season, tearing his markers apart, setting up goals and scoring one himself.
Speaking to Kotoko Express App for the Porcupines Covid-19 Lockdown Check-in, the left-footed terrific dribbler said he was poised to become the next big thing in world football.
“I am focusing on my game,” said Anim Cudjoe. “I am training, sleeping well and following the instructions that my father (Samuel Anim Cudjoe), coaches and my teammates are giving me.”
“I listen to them a lot and always try to do what they tell me to do. If God permits, I can reach the level where Lionel Messi, Abedi Pele, and Asamoah Gyan reached. That is my target.”
Anim Cudjoe also speaks about how he is training and keeping fit during this pandemic.
