I will cancel the licensure exams – John Mahama.

Former President John Manama earlier today had a live Q & A with his supporters. The live section was broadcasted live on Facebook and other social media platforms.

JM was available to answer questions from social media users and six young people who were seated around him.

The questions spanned from the economy to health, education, and others.

A social media user asked the former president about his views on the teacher licensure exams and if he was going to cancel it if he wins power.

His answer was a definite yes. Mr. Manama said there was no sense in asking a teacher to write exams to get a license to teach.

He said he will rather seek to improve the quality of training given to teachers rather than asking them to write licensure exams.

“I will rather improve the quality of teaching and examination for the trainee teachers so yes I will make sure to cancel the licensure exams”.
