The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the list of African players vying for the African Footballer for 2019. The thirty-man shortlist includes players from the continent who are excelling for club and country.
The comes with two Ghanaian players. Jordan Ayew and Thomas Tei Partey were included in the list. The Crystal Palace striker and Athletico Madrid midfielder have both proved their worth for club and country. Due to this, their nomination comes as no surprise.
The two players have been instrumental for their respective clubs and country in the year under review.
Liverpool’s duo Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane are part of the 30-man shortlist. They are bookmakers’ favorite to win the award.
