Kumasi Asante Kotoko has terminated the contract with their coach Kjetil Zachariasen 10 days after exiting the CAF Confederation Cup. The club released an official statement on Wednesday to confirm the rumors that had been speculated in the media about their contractual agreement with Kjetil. “Management has terminated the contract with Norwegian Coach, Kjetil Zachariassen after a meeting at the club secretariat in Kumasi today”.
The reason for the termination of the contract was due to the club’s failure to progress to the group stage of the CAF champions league and their subsequent exit from the confederation cup. According to the club the continuation of the contract was tied to the performance of the club in the African competition.
