Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeat Abusua Dwarfs in pre season friendly.

Asante Kotoko and Abusua Dwarfs locked horns at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast. The match was to test the readiness of these two premier league sides for the upcoming season.

The Ghana Football Association has scheduled December 28 for the start of the new football season. Clubs in the country have been busy in the transfer market and also preparing for the new season.

Kotoko started the match with Osei Kwame, Samuel Frimpong, Patrick Yeboah, Wahab Adams, Empem Dacosta, Justice Blay, Emmanuel Gyamfi (C), Collins Ameyaw, Richard Arthur, Songne Yacouba, Kelvin Andoh.

Captain Emmanuel Gyamfi broke the deadlock on the 22nd minute to give the visitors the lead.

In form striker Sogne Yacouba doubled the lead for the porcupine warriors on the 68th minute. The visitors controlled the game from the blast of the whistle to the final whistle on the 90th minute.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko is set to face Takoradi based team Sky Fc on Sunday as part of the preparation toward the new league season. They will also face their arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the President’s cup finals on 15th December.
