Dancehall King Shatta has taken a swipe at the music industry’s artistes describing them as servants. This was revealed in an interview with MzGee on TV3 when the artist (Shatta Wale) was being interviewed on his maiden online concert.
Shatta Wale over the weekend successfully hosted the Faith Concert. The concert was streamed live on youtube with over 11,000 people watching. The Concert had garnered over 200,000 views at the time of writing this piece and was second on the Youtube trending list. He stated that proceeds from the concert will be used to help the needy.
When asked if he would work together with other artistes for another show, Shatta Wale replied yes and went on to advise industry’s players to come together to do something for the country during this period of COVID-19.
Shatta Wale futher stated that apart from Chris Waddle and Medikal calling to congratulate him on his successful online show, no other artist in the music industry has called him.
This he said was understandable because only Chris Waddle, Medikal and he (Shatta Wale) are the only rich artistes in Ghana. He described the other artistes as being their servants.
SHATTA’S COMMENTS ON SUB ZERO
When asked about his take on Sarkodie’s new track titled Sub Zero, he said he did not know Sarkodie had released a diss track and he was going to check after the interview.
He expressed his disappointment in Sarkodie for throwing shots at him and other artistes at this time when they needed to come together for the greater good of the country.
He also threw shots at Reggie Rockstone for bringing Rap to Ghana and said that rappers will never make an impact in the Ghanaian community because Reggie Rockstone has never made an impact. This is because majority of the people enjoy listening to Highlife music and Rap music does not stand a chance.
what do you think about Shatta Wale’s comments.
